Keenan’s Retrospective of the YearWhat does "Alumni" mean, and just what are the "Grad Students" doing? These are questions that I have been faced with as a Grad Student. It soon became apparent that much of our work was to find our role with in the program. We didn't step into a program running like a well oiled machine; it sometimes felt more like chasing a greased pig!

The work as a Grad Student has connected me to Emerson's rounds of time. Updating the records of former students or Alumni, has offered a brief glimpse into the lives that have journeyed here in the past (also known as the "The Glory Days"). I was allowed time to be present and help some of those staff who work very hard in ways that are often not visible. Answering phones in reception or organizing mass mailings are some examples. Sharing the work of Emerson College at conferences in London and Dornach connected me to the hope that this place will continue to inspire others in the future.

I am very grateful to be able to complete my third year at Emerson College. It has given me time to awaken the seeds that have been planted in me. I go from this place to become a Class Teacher. Someday, I will be able to look back on my experience and cherish the many ways I have been blessed.
