So you’ve begun your journey as a storyteller but what is the territory ahead?
A storyteller can be highly skilled in many areas but lacking in others. We all have missing bits: identifying and working on them is an essential part of the storyteller’s art. It may be that your story needs attention to areas of the craft: structure, dynamic, range of voice, character, registers, or silence to name a few; some tellers need to work on their connection to the story itself, others their listeners. Deeper still are things that have to do with presence and vulnerability.
This workshop will help you to explore who you are as a storyteller and some places you’ve never been before. It will feature some powerful slices of individual coaching in a warm atmosphere, challenging and supportive where you can take your storytelling to another level, receive feedback on how you are doing and get ideas for the road ahead. First the grit, then the glory.
"Sometimes it takes time and courage to take the ‘next steps’. How amazing then to find a course where it felt okay to make mistakes and share your learning with others.A perfect balance of structure and freedom. I can’t recommend it highly enough." Anne Hunter, Storyteller
As a part of the course, previous public storytelling skills or Begin It Now! are required.
Places on this course are limited to 12 participants so book early to avoid disappointment.
