Why did the Starting Over Show events choose Emerson College?

With several venues available for hire in the Forest Row area, what made creator of the community-focused Starting Over Show events Suzy Miller, decide on Emerson as the venue for her first three local events?

suzy headshot“One of the key factors I had to consider was accessibility. Our audience - and our range of exhibitors offering complimentary tasters in everything from massage to healing to beauty makeovers to personal development - stretches beyond the boundaries of Forest Row to Lewes, Tunbridge Wells and Horsham.  I felt that Emerson was simple to get to by car or public transport from all of those locations, and also walking distance for local visitors.  But more importantly, it had the right atmosphere - it is place imbued with a culture of self-development and awakening - this was just the right background for these initial events.”

Emerson was able to offer Suzy a suite of rooms which included Ruskin Hall, which Suzy found big enough to house a variety of exhibitors offering their complimentary healing tasters. Suzy also loved that one of the workshop rooms has a real fire in it - creating a peaceful and calming atmosphere.

She continues “There is a wide range of services available to try at the events - including therapeutic dance, Shamanic healing, nutritional advice and Journey work, yet what each of the exhibitors share is the power to inspire and help visitors to find their own way forwards in life. Emerson very much has a history of creativity and brave ventures and I felt that is this that I wanted my first local Starting Over Shows to be a part of.”

Suzy’s first two events at Emerson College were a resounding success, tickets for the third, which takes place on 18 November, are available on the www.sosevent.co.uk event site. There is a special Emerson promotional code that gives 50% off the ticket price: Emerson
