Final Project on the Visual Arts and Sculpture Course

Ai's Land Art work

Ai's Land Art work is placed in a field in front of the college's main building. It was created in June 2014.

The big pieces of agricultural cloth are placed on the ground in 3 different ways:

First in as simple a way as possible.

Then they become more complex in their relation to each other but remain static.

At the end they are free to constantly change shape and move with the wind.

"From simple to complex"

The land art process set up by Ai, can help us to enter and clarify the relation of the different qualities of the landscape with our inner experiences in that landscape.

The title of her work is: " look outside to see inside/ look inside to see outside."
