Summer Retreat: Introducing Hildegard of Bingen

Summer Retreat: Introducing Hildegard of Bingen

A six day summer arts and science retreat from 4 – 9 August 2017.

Join us for a glorious summer retreat week at Emerson College. Be inspired and nourished by the beautiful gardens, woodlands and health-giving home-grown organic food served in the café and dining halls.

Hildegard of Bingen - theologian, abbess, mystic, artist, musician, medical herbalist and psychologist.

As long ago as the 12th century Hildegard of Bingen wrote about respecting nature and the healing properties of plants. Her REMEDIES, the harmony of her extraordinary MUSIC, the WISDOM and beauty of her prophetic ILLUMINATIONS are healing for Body, Mind and Spirit.

Join Mary-Anne Paterson - arts therapist, teacher, international lecturer; colleagues Daniel Docherty ‘Sacred Art of Geometry’ and Rose Moore - bio-dyanmic gardener, and discover the relevance of Hildegard for our times.

Exploring and practicing these timeless skills we reveal new personal insights and re-discover through Hildegard ’The Spiritual in Art and Science’.
