The International School of Storytelling is the longest running centre of its kind where the craft of the storyteller is practiced and honoured. Here stories come alive and serve performers, healers, teachers, the business world, the environment and the wider community. All storytelling courses are taught in English but for twenty-one years we have taught people from over 17 countries around the world and most courses have a truly international flavour. Whether an experienced teller or a beginner to the art, everyone is welcome here.

The School was established in 1994 under the umbrella of Emerson College. In 2010 Ashley Ramsden, Sue Hollingsworth and Roi Gal-Or founded the International School of Storytelling and it became an independent Charity based on the campus at Emerson College.

All courses should be booked directly via The International School of Storytelling website. Meals and accommodation are booked directly with Emerson College via the course link (below).

Emerson College is proud to host The International School of Storytelling, an independent educational initiative. Emerson College is not responsible for the content or delivery of courses run by the International School of Storytelling, but warmly recommends its programmes.
