The Art of Storytelling

24 credits in partnership with the University of Sussex

Using biographical and traditional stories from folk tales, fairy tales and myth, we will explore the drama and power of storytelling. Woking together in a small supportive group, you will learn how to use voice, gesture, movement and audience awareness to bring these stories to life.

The School of Storytelling

Founded in 1994 the School of Storytelling is the longest running centre of its kind where the craft of the storyteller is taught, practiced, performed and honoured. Here stories come alive and serve performers, healers, teachers, the business world, the environment and the wider community. Whether an experienced teller or a novice to the art, everyone is welcome here. The art of storytelling is as ancient as it is modern. Stories have been told and passed down throughout the generations, tales of what it is to be human, from our daily experiences to our spiritual traditions.
